Invisalign Moorpark
At Paul Jang Dentistry, we are more than just a primary dental clinic. Our clinic is equipped to provide Invisalign treatment for those looking to adjust their smile.

What is Invisalign?
Adjusting Your Smile
Invisalign is a brace that utilizes a series of clear tray aligners instead of wiring. The aligners are made of Invisalign's blend of plastic and manufactured in their facilities based on molds of your mouth provided by your dentist. The aligners are solid plastic that is strong enough to pressure your teeth to move them into a better position over time slowly.
Invisalign Benefits
There are many benefits to using Invisalign aligners instead of traditional metal braces.
- Fast. On average, candidates wear the Invisalign clear aligners for approximately one year and complete treatment.
- Invisible. This is where the treatment gets its name! The clear aligners are hardly noticeable.
- Easy. Remove the aligners to brush and floss as usual, and pop them back in when you're done.
- Removable. Take out the aligners to eat and drink, and nothing gets caught in your "traditional braces."
- Comfortable. The aligners are custom-made for you, and they are slightly flexible, fitting easily into your mouth.
- Convenient. Simply switch Invisalign clear aligners when it's time, and there's no need for painful adjustments.
What to Expect
Knowing what to expect when you're considering Invisalign will help you to decide if it's the correct route for you.
The first appointment
Your dentist will look inside your mouth and talk about your smile goals. Some people may not be suitable for the Invisalign process, and other options are available. If you are a candidate for Invisalign, you will discuss the treatment process and the estimated treatment length.
Molding process
Depending on your schedule, this may happen at the first appointment with your dentist or a separate one. Any digital scans, photographs, and x-rays are sent to the Invisalign laboratory for your custom aligner trays to be made.
Fitting the first tray
When your Invisalign clear aligners are ready, it's time to return for your pick-up. Your dentist may put small attachments called "buttons" on your teeth to help the trays stay in place. Your dentist will ensure that your aligners fit, and you're ready to go!
Follow-up appointments
A few weeks after the first tray is fitted, it's time to return to the dentist. Then, your dentist will check your tooth movement and tray fit. A series of Invisalign trays make up the process. You won't have to see the dentist each time you change to a new aligner.
Straighter teeth
After some time, your teeth will have straightened to meet your initial goal. The final results always depend on the severity of misalignment, but if worn as instructed, you are guaranteed to have straighter teeth.
